CENTRAL POINT — The 2nd annual Medford Metro Reptile Expo brought over 40 vendors, hundreds of visitors and a wide variety of snakes, tortoises and lizards to the Jackson County Expo on Saturday.
The event is one of four reptile expos organized by Northwest Reptile Expos, owned by John and CC Deaton. Two are held in Portland each year, one in Seattle and one in the Medford area.

Grants Pass had a big four-run third inning and got a strong pitching performance from Bayden Morris in a season-opening 4-2 baseball win over Summit on Friday at George Russell Field.
Evan Valenzuela had the big blow for the Cavemen in the third, driving in runners on second and third. Braeden Reese followed with a double to drive in Valenzuela.
Morris went six innings on the mound, giving up six hits and two earned runs while striking out four on 81 pitches.

A 34-year-old man parked haphazardly and passed out with drug paraphernalia in plain view was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Southeast K Street.
