Grants Pass City Councilor Erich Schloegl, in his ninth week as an elected official, was on the defensive at Wednesday night's City Council meeting. And now he's the subject of a formal ethics complaint.

Schloegl has been hit with criticism over his Feb. 19 vote that helped place his wife on the city's budget committee.
